米 Twitter 社は、同社のサービス Twitter においてログイン認証の API である Twitter API の BASCI 認証への対応を 8月31日 で終了させ、本日、9月1日 からは OAuth 認証に移行しました。

Twitter Applications and OAuth

If you are like most Twitter users, you have used use a third-party Twitter application to read or send Tweets. As of August 31, Twitter applications will all use OAuth, an authentication method that lets you use apps without them storing your password.

一部の Twitter アプリケーションで、OAuth 認証に対応していないものは利用できなくなります。それらのアプリが使えなくなった場合は対応するまで気長に待つか、別のアプリを利用するなどの対応が必要ですね。
