Google は YouTube をテレビでも視聴できるように PLAYSTATION 3 ( PS3 ) 及び Wii に対応した「 YouTube for Television 」の公開を開始しました。

にアクセスをすると、PS3 なら黒を、Wii なら白を基調とし、それぞれに最適化された YouTube の画面が表示されます。それぞれ好みはあると思うのだけど、個人的にはデザイン云々よりも Wiiリモコン でポインターを動かしてクリックしていくのが使いやすかったので Wii での視聴がオススメかも。
ただし、どちらも HD 対応はなされていないのでテレビ画面で見るとやっぱり粗いですね。HD 対応コンテンツは Apple TV などで見た方がキレイだなって思えるかも。いずれ対応するかもしれませんが、できれば早い目にお願いしたいですね。
それにしてもやっぱり動画はテレビで見ると楽しいね(^^
Microsoft の メールサービス Windows Live Hotmail が、ついに POP3 / SMTP でのメールの送受信に対応したと、オフィシャルブログで公開しました。POP3 / SMTP 対応は、現在のところ日本を含む 9カ国 だそうです。

What is POP3? It is a protocol that allows almost any e-mail software program that you’ve installed on your mobile phone or PC* to get messages from your e-mail inbox on the web and deliver them in the designated program.
いままで Web 上でしかまともに使えなかった Hotmail ですけど、メールアプリケーション ( メーラー ) から Hotmail アカウントの送受信ができるってことになると便利ですよね。
