Amazon が Kindle for PC のリリースを開始しました。Amazon の電子ブックリーダー Kindle の Windows PC 用アプリケーションが Kindle for PC となります。米 Amazon から購入した電子書籍は Kindle や Kindle for PC などと共有で閲覧でき、しおりやメモ機能なども共有することができるようです。

対応 OS は Windows XP SP2 以降 / Vista / 7 となっているそうです。Windows 7 についてはタッチ対応のものなら、ピンチやズームといった操作も可能なんだそうです。また、Mac 版も近日リリース予定なのだそうです。

それにしても早く日本語版 Kindle が出てこないものかなぁ。Mac や PC で読んで、続きは Kindle 端末で、なんてこともできるようになるわけなんだし、やっぱり書庫が要らないっていうのはボクにとっては夢のように嬉しいことなんだけどなぁ。日本の出版界もそろそろ重い腰を上げて欲しいです。
