Pixelmator 2.1 が配信を開始!

Pixelmator Team の Mac OS X 専用画像処理ソフトの Pixelmator がアップデートしていました。Pixelmator 2.1 となりました。Pixelmator 2.1 は Retina や iCloud に対応し、Effects Browser など新しい機能も追加されています。

The Pixelmator Team today released a major update of Pixelmator, its inspiring, easy-to-use and feature-packed image editing software for the Mac. Designed to take full advantage of OS X Mountain Lion and the new MacBook Pro with Retina display, Pixelmator 2.1 adds support for iCloud, a new Effects Browser with new Vintage and Miniaturize effects, smart Alignment Guides and several other enhancements.

Mountain Lionでもwmvが再生できる Flip4Mac v3 ベータ版配布開始

Telestream は Mac OS X で Windows Media files ( .wma and .wmv ) を再生するための QuickTime コンポーネント Windows Media Components for QuickTime 及び Flip Player をメジャーアップデートするための最新ベータ版 Flip4Mac WMV v3の配布を開始していました。

OS X 10.7 以降の対応となっており、もちろん OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion にも対応しています。新しい機能として GateKeeper に対応し、Mountain Lion のための 64bit Core Audio もサポートしているそうです。

Mountain Lion にしてからボクの持ってる wmv ファイルが再生できなかったので少し困っていたんだけど、ベータ版を入れてから再生できるようになりました。ありがたいなぁってことで、wmv ファイルを使っている方は是非オススメです。

New Features in this Release

• Introduced the new Flip Player application for playing, editing, and transcoding video and audio. Flip Player supports unique features such as dimming the background, cropping video, and creation of iPhone ringtones. It also supports exporting to Apple and Telestream applications, exporting to Apple devices, and Windows Media. Flip Player replaces the WMV Player application.
• All software is now signed with a digital certificate from Apple to address security and anti-malware requirements in Gatekeeper.
• Added support for the application/x-ms-wmp mime type.
• Added 64-bit Core Audio support for OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.

Sparrow、オープンソース化

Mac と iPhone の人気メーラー Sparrow は、突然の Google 買収、メンテナンスモード入りで、一気にドン引きメーラーと成り下がって？しまった感じもだったりするようなしないような、そんな状況で、またまた突然のオープンソース化を果たしてしました。

新たな開発者に委ねられて、進化するのか、それとも‥‥　個人的には shift-jis 対応でお願いしたいものです(笑)

あのSparrowがGoogleに買収されたそうで…

Mac や iPhone で人気のメーラー Sparrow を制作している Sparrow 社は、Google に買収されたことを発表しました。今後、Sparrow の制作チームは Gmail チームとして活躍をしていくとのことですが、引き続き Sparrow のサポートはしてくれるそうです。

まぁ、このアプリがどのようになるのかはわかりませんが、とりあえず Google 製アプリになるっていうことで期待できるのは文字化けが無くなることかなと思います。いくら素晴らしいアプリでも、日本語の文字化けが多ければ使えないなぁと思っていましたから。

期待したいですね。

Retina対応Pixelmator、まもなくリリース

Pixelmator の最新バージョンとなる Pixelmator 2.1 Cherry がまもなくリリースを開始するそうです。Pixelmator 2.1 では UI も編集する映像も Redtina ディスプレイに対応するそうです。

The ever-busy Pixelmator Team is about to release a new major version of Pixelmator: Pixelmator 2.1, codenamed Cherry. We’ve been working very hard on it for a few months now, and Cherry is one of the best major Pixelmator updates we have ever put together.

ATOK 2012 for Mac 発表!

ジャストシステムは Mac 版 ATOK の最新版となる ATOK 2012 for Mac を 6月15日 から発売するそうです。Mac OS X 10.5.8 〜 10.7.x に対応。また、夏に発売予定の Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion の対応も保証してくれるそうです。さらに、パッケージ版のメディアが CD から USBメモリ に変更となり、MacBook Air などの光学ドライブがない Mac でもインストールが容易になるそうです。

ATOK for Mac 2012 の目玉機能は Advanced Suggest エンジン ( ASエンジン ) 。これにより推測変換が強化され、語彙の打ち始めから、どんどんと推測語彙が表示されて、少ないキータッチで語彙が入力できるようになっているそうです。推測変換辞書は一般的な言葉だけでなく人名や地名といった固有名詞も数多く入っており、どんどんと推測変換してくれるそうです。

Google の Google日本語入力システム が無料で配布している日本語入力システムのくせに非常に優れた推測変換をしてくれるので、なかなかな強敵なわけですが、負けてないってところを ( って、実際に負けているわけじゃないんだけど‥‥ ATOK は有料っていうハンデが‥‥w ) 見せつけて欲しいものですね。

ATOKユーザ向け AAA優待 のダウンロード版が今回も安いなぁ。

Act2さんのPixelmatorの販売・サポートは昨年終了していたそうです

Pixelmator の日本での販売・サポートを アクト・ツー さんが行なっていましたが、Pixelmator 社が Mac App Store でのみの販売に絞るという方針変更に伴い、販売とサポートを昨年終了していたというメールが本日届きました。昨年に一部のユーザには案内済みということですが、ボクんとこには本日でしたので、本日のエントリーとして(^^;;

ピクセルメータにつきまして、弊社アクト・ツーで販売させていただいていたのですが、ピクセルメータ社が MacAppStore でのみの販売に絞るという方針に切り替えた事に伴い弊社アクト・ツーでの販売とサポートをを昨年終了させていただいております。
従いまして、今後弊社アクト・ツーでピクセルメータの新しいバージョンの販売はございません。

SkyDriveのクライアントアプリが配布開始

Microsoft は オンラインストレージ の SkyDrive のクライアントアプリの配布を開始しました。SkyDrive のアプリは Windows 版、Mac 版、iOS 版が配布されており、Windows 版と Mac 版はインストールされた PC や Mac に SkyDrive フォルダーが作成され、このフォルダに入れたファイルは、すべての PC や Mac との間で同期されます。DropBox と同じ使い勝手ですね。

現在のところ、ファイルの同期だけであれば DropBox よりも容量が大きくて便利だなぁと思ったりもしますが、たとえば iOS アプリには DropBox 対応のものが多くて、ファイルの連携が非常に便利なんだけど、そのあたりはまったくダメなので、あくまでもオンラインストレージとしての利用ということに当面はなりそうですね。
