Microsoft は windows 7 と Windows Server 2008 R2 の SP1 ( Service pack 1 ) が完成したと発表。ボリュームライセンス、MSDN、TechNet 契約者には 2月17日、ダウンロードセンターや Windows Update は 2月23日 より公開するそうです。

　日本マイクロソフト株式会社(本社：東京都港区、代表執行役 社長：樋口 泰行)は、「Windows Server(R) 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 日本語版」（以下、Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1）を、2月17日（木）より順次提供開始することを発表します。Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1は、製品発売以降に公開された更新プログラムに加えて、仮想マシンから様々なデバイスに高度なグラフィックス画面さえもストレスなく転送する「RemoteFX(TM)」と、メモリを効率的に利用し仮想マシンの集約率を高める「Dynamic Memory」などの新機能を実装しています。また、製品出荷以来すでに全世界で3億ライセンスを販売している Windows(R) 7 向けに「Windows 7 Service Pack 1 日本語版」(以下、Windows 7 SP 1 ) の提供を、同じく2月17日（木）より順次開始します。

Microsoft の Windows 7 が発売になりました。Windows Vista のときよりも盛り上がりを見せているそうです。保守的なわけではないでしょうが、XP で十分だというユーザにも魅力ある Windows へとなることを期待しております。

個人的にも Windows 7 は導入予定なのですが、いまのところ XP / Vista マシンも持てあましている状況なので、もう少ししてから Windows 7 を導入する予定です。

Windows(R) 7 日本語版の一般向け発売日について

　マイクロソフト株式会社（本社：東京都渋谷区）は、次期Windows(R)オペレーティングシステム「Windows 7」日本語版の一般向け発売日を2009年10月22日（木）と決定しました。

通常パッケージ版の参考価格は Windows 7 Ultimate が 40740円、Professional が 39690円、Home Premium が 26040円 となっています。

Microsoft が Windows 7 のリテールパッケージの公開をしたそうです。

Microsoft が次期 OS の Windows 7 を 2009年10月22日 に発売すると発表しました。あわせて Windows 7 Upgrade Option Program なる Windows 7 を特別価格でアップグレードするプログラムも発表されましたが、こちらの詳細は後日となるようです。

This is one of those posts where I’m truly excited to be writing. I get to tell you when Windows 7 will be on store shelves! According to input from customers and partners we’ve made a lot of progress with Windows 7.

Our milestone-to-milestone approach for Windows 7 is built on a great deal of feedback from customers and testers. This has been pivotal to the development of Windows 7.

I blogged a few weeks ago that it’s looking like we’ll have Windows 7 ready in time for the holidays.

Since then we’ve made enough progress to feel really good about announcing today that Windows 7 will be in stores beginning October 22nd.

それにしてもビックリな速さです。この感じだと WWDC 2009 でおよその発売時期が発表されるだろう Mac OS X 10.6 snow leopard よりも早くの発売になりそうな予感です。

Microsoft は次期 OS となる Windows 7 の正式版が年内に出荷がほぼ確実であるという見通しをブログで明らかにしました。現在の Windows 7 RC のレベルからすると今後3カ月以内に開発が完了しそうだということです。

Windows 7 on Track to Hit This Holiday Season

There has been quite a bit of speculation and chatter around the timing of milestones for Windows 7. Of course folks want to know when Windows 7 will become available in stores and on new PCs. We’re in a good position today to provide an update to the timing of when we expect for that to happen. I’m really excited to be able to give this update – particularly given what it takes to deliver a high quality OS to millions of partners, customers, developers and the entire ecosystem.

Microsoft は 次期 OS となる Windows 7 RC 版 を日本でも配布を開始しました。ダウンロードには Windows Live ID が必要になるのを始め、以下の条件を満たす PC が必要になってきます。

・1GHz以上の32bitまたは64bitプロセッサ
・1GB以上のシステムメモリ
・16GBの空き容量のあるHDD
・DirectX 9のグラフィックスに対するサポート、およびグラフィックス用として128MB のメモリ(Aeroテーマを有効にする際に必要)
・DVD-R/Wドライブ

Windows 7 RC 版の有効期限は 2010年6月1日 までだそうです。思ったよりも、結構長いんですね(^^;;;;
