左から Windows 7 Ultimate 、Professional 、Home Premium となっています。エコロジーに配慮し、内容物も DVD と簡単な手引き書などとなっているということなんですが‥‥

DELL がネットブックの新型 Inspiron mini 10v を発売したそうです。商品的には Inspiron mini 9 の後継となるそうですが、先に発売している Inspiron mini 10 と同じボディの商品となっています。
Inspiron mini 10 との違いは CPU が Atom Z から Atom N になったこと、それに伴ってチップセットが US15W から 945GSE Express となり、HDMI 出力がなくなったことのようです。
Inspiron mini 10 のキーボードのタッチは結構快適だと思うので mini 10v も同様だと思うのですが、ちょっと不満なのはトラックパッドでしょうか。少々クセがあり、個人的にはあまり快適だとは思えませんでした。
Microsoft が次期 OS の Windows 7 を 2009年10月22日 に発売すると発表しました。あわせて Windows 7 Upgrade Option Program なる Windows 7 を特別価格でアップグレードするプログラムも発表されましたが、こちらの詳細は後日となるようです。

Our milestone-to-milestone approach for Windows 7 is built on a great deal of feedback from customers and testers. This has been pivotal to the development of Windows 7.
I blogged a few weeks ago that it’s looking like we’ll have Windows 7 ready in time for the holidays.
Since then we’ve made enough progress to feel really good about announcing today that Windows 7 will be in stores beginning October 22nd.

ASUS ( ASUSTeK Computer ) は Eee PC の価格を改定したそうです。
Eee PC S101 が オープンプライス から 59800円。
Eee PC S101H が 64800円 から 54800円。
Eee PC 900HA が 39800円 から 34800円。
お買い求め安くなりました。でも、やっぱり気になるのは Eee PC 1008HA ですよねぇ(^^;;;
Microsoft は Windows Vista と Windows Server 2008 向けの SP2 ( Service Pack 2 ) の提供を開始しました。ダウンロードサイトから無償でダウンロードできます。
Windows Vista SP2 / Windows Server 2008 SP2 は新たなハードウェアへの対応、信頼性などの改善など多岐にわたる性能の向上がなされているようです。全体では約700にも及ぶ項目で機能追加や改善などが行われているということです。

Microsoft は次期 OS となる Windows 7 の正式版が年内に出荷がほぼ確実であるという見通しをブログで明らかにしました。現在の Windows 7 RC のレベルからすると今後3カ月以内に開発が完了しそうだということです。
Windows 7 on Track to Hit This Holiday Season
There has been quite a bit of speculation and chatter around the timing of milestones for Windows 7. Of course folks want to know when Windows 7 will become available in stores and on new PCs. We’re in a good position today to provide an update to the timing of when we expect for that to happen. I’m really excited to be able to give this update – particularly given what it takes to deliver a high quality OS to millions of partners, customers, developers and the entire ecosystem.
UK では間もなく出荷みたいな ASUS の Eee PC 1008HA ですが、x-gadget:blog さん経由の UMPC Fever の記事「 Eee PC 1008HA 下周二發佈及更多資料 」にある Eee PC 1008HA の写真を見てビックリしました。
本体ボディの裏面に VGA アダプタを装着してあり、VGA 接続するときには、それを引っこ抜いて、側面にある端子に挿すようです。大胆な仕様だなぁ(笑) 価格は少し上がるかもわからないけど Apple が現在の MacBook でやっているような Mini DisplayPort でよかったような気がするなぁ(笑)
アダプタは、本体の装着時にしっかりとはまっているのかも気になるところです。持ち運んでる最中にあっさり取れて無くなってたなんてことありそうだけにねぇ(^^;;;
Microsoft は 次期 OS となる Windows 7 RC 版 を日本でも配布を開始しました。ダウンロードには Windows Live ID が必要になるのを始め、以下の条件を満たす PC が必要になってきます。
・1GHz以上の32bitまたは64bitプロセッサ
・1GB以上のシステムメモリ
・16GBの空き容量のあるHDD
・DirectX 9のグラフィックスに対するサポート、およびグラフィックス用として128MB のメモリ(Aeroテーマを有効にする際に必要)
・DVD-R/Wドライブ
Windows 7 RC 版の有効期限は 2010年6月1日 までだそうです。思ったよりも、結構長いんですね(^^;;;;
